The Finishing School is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of Firebird Institute of Research in Management. While the need for quality human resources for clerical functions is increasing manifold, companies find it difficult to recruit the required HR as the unemployed graduates do not possess employable skills. Firebird would like to fill the gap by organising Skill Development Programmes for unemployed graduates and place them in companies functioning in Kongu region of the State.

Unemployed youth who have undergone UG degree programme of any discipline are eligible for participation in the Finishing Programme of Firebird. While there is no condition that they should have successfully completed the degree programme, they should have successfully completed +2 (higher secondary). Only 30 participants are registered for each Batch.

The duration of each Finishing Programme conducted by Firebird is one month (25 working days). The participants are given training in Typing, basic computer applications required for Office, accounting, banking, and team skills.
